Ogame21.01.2008
Strategy games are having a rough time of it nowadays, faced as they are with competition from heavy hitters such as Command and Conquer, World in Conflict and their ilk. However, products like StarCraft clearly show that aficionados of strategy don’t need photographically realistic graphics to have a gas playing a game. The same holds true for Ogame, thanks to its integrated browser game
Ogame is a genuine Everyman’s game, by virtue of its being browser based, plus the fact that it delivers the complexity of a full priced product. The goal of the game is to establish a business empire in outer space. There’s no real plot, but the game does provide a good tutorial, and you get to decide whether to establish your empire through peaceful means or by force, i.e. by conquering foreign planets. Also Ogame is bound to sustain your interest over the long term. Thus anyone who enjoys strategizing and is partial to business simulations should consider purchasing Ogame. MS
